We recommend shopping at Tutu's Dance Boutique in Knoxville. All pointe shoe fittings are required to be taken place at Tutu's. This will ensure the proper shoe to the individual dancer and will promote the dancer's safety. Appointment is required for all fittings. This is currently the only dance shop available in our immediate area.

Ballet:
  • Beginning Ballet 1 & 2:  any colored leotard, pink tights, leather full-sole ballet shoe, optional skirt
  • Intermediate Ballet 1 & 2:  any colored leotard, pink tights, leather full-sole or canvas ballet shoe, optional skirt
  • Intermediate Ballet 3: any colored leotard, pink tights, leather full-sole or canvas ballet shoe, optional skirt
  • Pre-Pointe/ Pointe:  any colored leotard, pink tights, optional skirt
  • Intermediate/ Advanced:  any colored leotard, pink tights, leather or canvas split-sole ballet shoe, optional skirt
          *HAIR MUST BE IN A BUN FOR BALLET

Lyrical/Contemporary:
  • All Ages: turners (leather or canvas), tight fitting clothing (no loose/baggy clothes) OR leotard and tights, shorts, leggings, or jazz pants
  • Competition Team: turners (leather or canvas) and Caramel stirrup tights (Capezio)
          *HAIR MUST BE PULLED BACK UNLESS SPECIFIED BY TEACHER

Jazz:
  • Beginning & Intermediate Jazz: black leather jazz shoes, tight fitting clothing (no loose/baggy clothes) OR leotard and tights, shorts, leggings, or jazz pants
  • Advanced: turners (leather or canvas), tight fitting clothing (no loose/baggy clothes) OR leotard and tights, shorts, leggings, or jazz pants
          *HAIR MUST BE PULLED BACK UNLESS SPECIFIED BY TEACHER

Tap:
  • Tap 3-K: black Mary Jane style tap shoe, any colored leotard and tights or shorts/jazz pants
  • Intermediate Tap 1 & 2: black Mary Jane style tap shoe, any colored leotard and tights or shorts/jazz pants
  • Intermediate/Advanced Tap: black lace-up tap shoe (older girls and Competition Team split sole)

Hip Hop:
  • All Ages: any clothing you can move in (no jeans), dance sneakers or any tennis shoe
